An Invitation to the 9th Matsuyama International Symposium
on Cell-Free Sciences

We are very happy to announce that we will be holding the 9th annual Protein Island Matsuyama International Symposium this September. It is co-organized by Ehime University, Ehime Prefecture, the City of Matsuyama, the Matsuyama Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Ehime Association of Corporate Executives. From the beginning, the purpose of the symposium has been to disseminate new knowledge for the science and industry of the 21st century to the world

In the 1st to the 5th symposia, we have tried to establish a firm basis for cell-free protein synthesis, and since the 6th we have put a greater emphasis on seeking possibilities for new applications of cell-free protein synthesis technology to all kinds of research fields. This year we focus on the fundamental research, such as 3D-structure of protein (NMR) and MS-based quantitative proteomics, as well as application of the technology to drug discovery for malaria.

Therefore, we have invited leading scientists from home and abroad, who will speak on the current status of their research and new developments in this field. We hope that many of you will be joining us.
